An Overgrown Field. Taken by Vmenkov

The image above is an accurate representation of a special place for me in nature. It's an eery comparison to my grandparent's farm in Unity, New Hampshire. The overgrown grass, wild bushes full of blueberries, crab apple trees, and lastly the wild birds and whitetail deer that feed off of them. In the winter the field looks completely different but the leafless trees allow you to see the mountains in Vermont just over the border. I spent many winters sledding down this field constantly in awe of the beauty and quiet around me besides the noise from my rowdy cousins.

The image below is an example of what my grandparent's field looks like in the winter. The slight difference being that they live on a mountain so there would be an incline.

  1. This favorite place reminds me a lot of the areas around my home town. I live around tons of farm land and open areas like this, and those areas are also some of my favorite spots in nature. I love the winters there.
